Management
1. Companies create business records of many types and store the electronic files using an electronic records management (ERM) system. Explain why an ERM is a senior management issue and not simply an IT issue?
2. Describe each of the four V’s of data analytics: variety, volume, velocity, and veracity.
3. Identify the primary functions of a database and a data warehouse. Explain why enterprises need both of these data management technologies.

The Operating Environment and Aircraft Performance
There are many environmental factors that affect an aircraft’s performance. You will research and identify one environmental factor that affects aircraft performance. In your blog, explain the impact of the environmental factor on performance, then identify and support a mitigation strategy that can be used to address your selected environmental factor. Include a properly formatted in-text citation and reference to support your position. The goal is to engage in a collaborative and constructive debate that promotes critical thought and reflection.
Aircraft Design and Performance
You will conduct research and compare the performance capabilities of aircraft based on design. Write a 2-3 page paper, not including the title page and reference page, comparing the performance capabilities of two differently-designed aircraft. You may choose any two aircraft that you wish. Remember to provide the appropriate performance data for your selected aircraft. In your discussion, include how aircraft design results in similarities and differences between the aircraft, and the performance limitations of your aircraft.
Your paper must be supported by a minimum of three scholarly references, should be grammatically sound, and free of spelling errors. You must include a properly formatted title page, in-text citations where appropriate, and a reference page formatted according to current APA guidelines.
How World War I Changed Aviation History
Read: https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-29612707 from BBC News that highlights how aviation changed world history through its use and success in World War I. Write about two events presented in the article that expanded the use of the airplane for military purposes, and how these new developments established the airplane as a viable military resource.
Development of Early Airmail
Read: https://postalmuseum.si.edu/exhibits/current/airmail-in-america/index.html from the Smithsonian National Postal Museum that is dedicated to the history of the U.S. Air Mail Service. Refer to the Airmail in America Section Head and the additional tabs along the right. Write at least one-page APA-formatted summary report on the impact of early governmental legislation (i.e.the 1925 Air Mail Act (Kelly Act) and the 1926 Air Commerce Act), and how early daring airmail pilots used their aviation skills to create a budding commercial industry.
You will be required to submit a research paper related to aviation legislation which is due at the end of Week 8. Topics for the research paper are required to be directly related to aviation or aerospace legislation. You may choose from the list below or your instructor may also approve an alternative topic suitable for your location in a jurisdiction outside the United States but only if it is directly concerned with aviation or aerospace legislation. As you select a topic for your paper, be able to provide a case/defense answering the question: In the historical context when this topic/legislative action was taken, why was it important at the time, and what long-term impacts did it have on the commercial aviation industry?

Annotated Bibliography
Your assignment is to prepare an annotated bibliography for your research project following the instructions. As you search for references in this assignment, keep in mind that the Literature Review and Research Methodology assignments will involve building on your research question(s) and designing a methodology to answer that question.
The list of sources must contain the following:
• The subject of your research, which you must state at the top of the page.
• Ten sources of information about your subject, including:
◦ Minimum of one book
◦ Minimum of four articles from the Hunt Library databases
◦ Minimum of two scholarly articles
The annotation for each source has two parts:
• A short summary (one to three sentences) of the information found in the source.
• An evaluation of the source’s credibility, reliability, currency, possible bias, and usefulness with respect to your topic. Review the following example as well as the rubric associated with this assignment for more detailed grading information.
Note: Don’t use Wikipedia as it isn’t an acceptable source for scholarly work. All sources and the entire reference list must be correctly documented in the current APA style.

RSCH Annotation Example
Below is an example. The words in italics (summary and evaluation) do not need to be in your work; they are here just for the clarity of the example.
Subject: Aircraft Design
Cleer, I. (1994). Powered flight. Ohio University Press.
This book is a brief history of the evolution of the airplane, beginning with the Wright Brothers and continuing up to 1992. (summary) The author is a professor of aerospace engineering, which gives him good credibility, and the book contains a substantial bibliography. Therefore, the information is likely to be accurate, reliable and without bias. However, because there have been many developments in powered flight in the last 20 years, this book may be of limited value except to provide the groundwork for understanding the early development of aircraft . (evaluation)
Harrumph, H. H. (2011). Choosing the right plane: An economist’s perspective.
Journal of Applied Economics, 23, 124-142. https://doi.org/14.3085722.
The article details the author’s 15-year study of four different airlines, focusing on decisions regarding the choices of types of aircraft and how these choices affected each airline’s bottom line. (summary) This journal is peer reviewed; therefore, the information should be credible, reliable and without bias. The publication date is relatively recent; therefore, the information is relatively current. Also, an economist could provide a unique perspective on aircraft design, which is usually considered only from the technical or human factors point of view. (evaluation)The following link to Purdue University’s Online Writing Laboratory (OWL) gives an excellent explanation of the annotated bibliography and additional examples.
