Personal Topic Research Presentation:
You should begin considering your topic the first week and ready to share your topic idea in class by Sept. 12. This is a topic in psychology that interest you that you might not have had a chance to explore in the past. This could be the psychology of religion, gender studies, culture… there are countless topics that relate to psychology. Disorders are discouraged. Please read the syllabus for more details on the final project.
The deadline for the final topic is On Oct. 3.
You will state your topic and your interest in the topic in a presentation venue of your choice, slides, video, photos, or interactive activity and other means. Be creative. Students will present an overview of their research in a 6-10-minute presentation that can be interactive. (You will be graded primarily on the three points above).
In addition to the presentation, a two to three, APA written paper, summarizing your topic is due on the last day of class. A minimum of four scholarly and academic reference must be included. A title and reference page are required. An abstract page is not needed. In-text citations and formatting must be in APA format. Also, all rules of APA are needed including 1 inch margins, 12-point font, and double-spaced. You will be graded primarily on your ability to writing quality, infuse research material and demonstrate of APA knowledge and application.
