Read pages 421 – 442

Our textbook mentions the relationship between stress and health and the importance of learning positive measures to ensure our physical and mental well-being. The authors explain “a stressor is a condition or event that challenges or threatens a person” (Coon, Mitterer, & Martini, 2019, p. 425). We also read that, “Burnout occurs when workers are physically, mentally, and emotionally drained” (Leiter, Gascon, & Martinez-Jarreta, 2010 as cited in Coon, Mitterer, & Martini, 2019, p. 423). This highlights the importance of knowing good coping skills and setting boundaries for ourselves where our obligations are concerned. Take the Social Readjustment Rating Scale (SRSS) on page 424.
REQUIREMENTS:

A citation must be included in your first post (which is your response to the issue). It is your thoughts that have been supported by science. To learn more about correct formatting, please see the APA Power Point presentation included in the Start Here part of the classroom. Failure to mention a source inside your initial post, as well as failure to offer a reference at the end of your initial post, will result in a 20-point loss from your final score.
A minimum of 200 words must be written in your initial post, and each answer must be a minimum of 150 words in length. Please double-check the number of words you’ve written. Only those posts that meet the minimum word count requirements are eligible for recognition.
At the end of each post, please include your word count. Each time a word count is not provided, a 5 point deduction will be applied to the final score.
