Promoting Self: The Final Product Packet

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read Chapter 10, and review Chapter 1, in the course textbook. Also revise and improve any previous documents submitted, based on instructor feedback, or your developing understanding of the importance of presenting yourself as a professional who has earned their degree.
During this course you have reflected on the knowledge you have gained during your time at University of Arizona Global Campus, as well as preparing a packet to support you from graduation forward, depending on your goals. For Week 5, you will utilize all of your previous activities to create a packet that will positively promote you and your personal goals. In this packet you are to include all items listed below, based on the packet you chose to complete. These will be submitted as one document to Waypoint.
You will also access Folio, your ePortfolio, to submit each piece of your packet there, so you will have a link to share with others that includes all of these materials. It will also be easily accessible for you to review prior to interviews, etc. All previous activities should clearly exhibit an application of the previous feedback given. Each should also be free of errors, as often even small mistakes can decrease your likelihood for successful acceptance by organizations and graduate school committees. You will also use Folio, your ePortfolio, to submit each piece of your packet so that you can share a link with others that includes all of these materials. It will also be easy to access and review prior to interviews, etc. All previous activities should clearly demonstrate an application of previous feedback. Each should also be error-free, as even minor errors can reduce your chances of being accepted by organizations and graduate school committees.
• It is highly advised to review the rubric for this assignment to make sure all elements have been addressed for your Final Project.
• All inclusions should be revised utilizing your resources, and the instructor feedback should be applied.

Option 1: Graduate School Application Packet
• Title page

o Must include a statement of purpose (from Week 2)

o You may include your practice GRE score, but remember that you will have to take an official exam for some graduate schools. (The GRE practice score is not required.)

o Originally submitted in Week 2.

o Developed in Week 3.
• Journal goal analysis
o Developed in the Week 2 Journal.
• Two letters of recommendation
o Must come from outside sources.
• References list
o Must include all items cited throughout your packet.
o Formatted in APA Style.
Option 2: Organizational Application Packet
• Title page
o See requirements, including your personal quote, below.
• Cover letter
o Developed draft in Week 2.
• Personal resume
• Two writing examples
o They must exemplify knowledge associated with the skills needed for the position.
o Feedback from Week 2 should be applied.
• Completed application
• Application essay
o Created Week 3.
o Feedback and revisions should be applied.
• Journal goal analysis
o Developed in the Week 2 Journal.
• Two letters of recommendation
o Must come from outside sources.
• Reference list
o Must include all items cited throughout your packet
o Formatted in APA Style.
Option 3: Military Promotions Application Packet
• Title page

• Letter to president or promotions board.
o Created in Week 2.
• Personal resume
o In addition to basic inclusions, also include all awards you have received.
• Two writing examples
o They must exemplify knowledge associated with the skills needed for the position.
o Feedback from Week 2 should be applied.
• Essay
o Content of this essay should reflect your knowledge gained during your time at University of Arizona Global Campus and how it will support your new rank/position.
o Created in Week 3. Feedback and revisions should be applied.
• Completed application
• Journal goal analysis
o Developed in the Week 2 Journal.
• Two letters of recommendation
o Must come from outside sources.
• References list
o Must include all resources cited throughout your packet.
o Formatted in APA Style.
Option 4: Generic Psychological Knowledge Packet
• Title page
o See requirements, including your personal quote, below.
• Two letters
o One letter to the Dean of the College of Health Human Services and Science
o One letter to the President of University of Arizona Global Campus
o The letters should indicate your close completion of your degree and how you believe the degree has supported your goals. (One letter draft was created in Week 2. A second letter must also be created.
• Personal resume
• Three writing examples
o They must exemplify knowledge associated with the developed psychological knowledge.
o Feedback from Week 2 should be applied.
• Essay
o The content of this essay should reflect your knowledge gained and how you will apply it in your future.
o Created Week 3. Feedback and revisions should be applied.
• A letter
o Addressed to a person of your choosing that shares your soon completion of your degree.
o The letter should summarize your experiences and knowledge gained.
 In addition, discuss your suggestions to your recipient for successfully completing school. (Originally submitted in Week 4)
o Journal goal analysis
 Developed in the Week 2 Journal.
o References list
 Must include all items cited throughout your packet.
 Formatted in APA Style.

• Must include all elements listed under your chosen packet, as one document, when submitting to Waypoint.
o If your reference letters are difficult to add to the document, consider scanning or saving as a JPG and inserting it into the word document.

o You may elect to make this a creative title page, rather than following APA Style explicitly. However, it is important to consider professional design when doing so.
• Must include your ePortfolio link in the comments section in Canvas.
• Must upload all documents to your ePortfolio. (Not required to be one document in this area.)
