Motivation
It is my pleasure to join this university for the advancement of my post-graduate education program to gain more knowledge in international politics, in particular, the Middle East politics. I am interested in studying an integrated master and doctoral program in the department of international area study. I intend to major in the Middle East and African studies, areas that I have created more interest in. Despite being a Canadian, I have a great interest in international relation and understanding international politics. For this reason, I have majored my studies in political science which gives me a great interest in studying and understanding world politics. As I was taking my undergraduate which is basically in the line of political science, I happened to interact with students and lectures from different regions with different political perspectives. This created my interest in this field with the major motivation being to understand how world cultures understand and value their political aspects and how the world can ensure the development of political ground that is helpful to the members of the public. The major issue that drives political ground across the world is democracy and equity in political representation, fields that have not yet exhausted in political research and studies.
Language Skill
I speak proficient English but I have interacted with people from different cultures and backgrounds thus managed to gain knowledge in different international languages. As I was studying in Canada in my entire educational life, I interacted with students from diverse communities. I created friend from foreign countries who I schooled with, managing to learn their language and understand their political and social cultures. For instance, most of my course mate in college was from the Middle East and African region where politic is still a major issue of concern. With their interaction, I managed to learn different languages, creating a baseline for working internationally especially in political-related forums or institutions. I believe that political conflict has been a major drawback to international development especially in Africa and Asian countries.
With my undergraduate qualifications and great interest and motivation to pursue my career in political and international relation field, I feel that I fit in this university. I assure the university administration that I am a motivated student who is willing to work closely my fellow students and lectures to ensure that I attain good grades and relevant knowledge in my field of study. I am also looking forward to a good recommendation from the university and therefore I have to work hard to my level best and attain the highest level of discipline during my study period and also in my career life. My interest and desire to study the course of my choice in this particular university make me a fit candidate to be admitted in the university. I feel that this university will play a major role in shaping my career, enabling me to develop the required skills in the political field and international relation.
Study Research Plan
As a goal-oriented student, I intend to prepare a work plan to guide me throughout the course period for time management and to ensure I gain maximum academic knowledge in this field. Through interaction with my lecturers and course mates, I will be able to ensure I meet my academic goals during my study period. I would also ensure a close interaction with other international students especially those from African and Middle East region, where I am interested to pursue my career. I will also enhance my research in the field of politics to ensure I understand the existing gaps in this field and get the appropriate approach to solve political related problems at a global level.
