• Outline where this department may fit in the hospital’s organizational structure (review a hospital org. chart online to see where your assigned area may fit; for example, outpatient services, surgical services, rehab services, cardiology services, laboratory services, etc.)
• Outline if typically, an inpatient or outpatient department
2) One type of Physician, Nurse and Allied Health Care worker who may work in this area
• Provide a brief description of each worker’s role in that unit
3) One type of procedure/diagnosis that this hospital unit may treat
• Explain the diagnosis/procedure
• Identify possible length of stay
4) One specific risk management challenge you think could occur with this unit’s population and indicate why this may be an issue
5) One specific communication challenge you think could occur with this unit’s population and indicate why this may be an issue
