In this assignment, you will examine two aspects of maintaining a healthy workplace environment. In Part 1, you will reflect on how to create and manage healthy workplace boundaries. In Part 2, you will examine a specific workplace responsibility: the duty to warn. Throughout this assignment, select best practices from your course readings. You are required to use three references, two of which must be peer-reviewed journal articles and the other must be your textbook. Part 1: Creating and Managing Workplace Boundaries Complete the following: Explain why it is important to set boundaries with peers, supervisors, and subordinates . Why is it important to have boundaries? What is the consequence of not setting appropriate boundaries? Compare and contrast differences in setting boundaries with peers, supervisors, and subordinates . What are appropriate guidelines in establishing boundaries with peers, supervisors, and subordinates? Describe techniques to create and manage healthy boundaries. What is the significance of boundaries? What are the consequences of failing to establish appropriate boundaries? Contrast differences in boundary setting with peers, supervisors, and subordinates. What are the best practices for setting boundaries with peers, supervisors, and subordinates? Describe techniques for establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries. Part 2: The Obligation to Warn Finish the Part 2: Duty to Warn Complete the following: Describe guidelines of when it would be appropriate to act on the duty to warn or to protect others in the workplace. What are some examples of specific scenarios appropriate for your (past, current, or future) place of work? Describe steps needed in implementing a plan to act on the duty to warn or protect others in the workplace. Who needs to know the guidelines? How will the information be disbursed? How will employees be trained? Assignment Requirements Your paper should meet the following requirements: Written communication : Written communication is free of errors that detract from the overall message. APA formatting : Resources and citations are formatted according to current APA style and formatting. Number of resources : Minimum of three resources, two of which must be peer-reviewed articles and one must be the textbook. Additional references are fine, but you must include the text and two peer-reviewed journal articles. Length of paper : 4–5 typed double-spaced pages, not including required cover page and references page. No abstract is required. Font and font size : Times New Roman, 12 point.
