Being Comfortable With Uncertainty
Uncertainty occurs in situations that an individual is not familiar with or when the ground shift providing states of flux where what will happen next is unknown to someone. However, being comfortable with uncertainty can enhance one’s ability to obtain the confidence required for what they lack or do not know. Exposing yourself to uncertainty enables one to build heir tolerance to it, which affirms once ability to maneuver through uncertain situations easily.
Daily life decisions can help one to become comfortable with uncertainty. Some of the practices that could enhance one’s ability to become comfortable with uncertainty include practicing kindness and compassion towards other people and oneself. When one is under a stressful situation and feels more uncertain regarding the situation, one can remain under the control of such a situation by being aware of their breathing and breathing intentionally. When under uncertainty, one can remain comfortable by engaging other individuals in talks through a phone call or video chat. Family members or friends are helpful when under uncertain situations as they can listen to one’s situation with both presence and emotional availability. Focusing on the present is also important as it will enable one to concentrate on life situations that they consider to have more control, which will act as a destruction of the uncertainty situation.
