4.RA2 Literature Review (30% / 300 points):
In this assignment, you will investigate a topic of interest to you that is relevant to professional counseling. Consider choosing a topic appropriate to your area of specialization. The topic may address a specific population, a disorder or diagnosis, a treatment method or technique, a current professional issue, or a social justice issue in counseling. The literature review is designed to increase your knowledge of the topic and improve clinical mental health counseling practice or service delivery. Information included in the literature review should be current and scholarly in order to be relevant. You must receive instructor approval for your topic by week 3. See Appendix B on pages for details and to review the grading rubric. The assignment must be submitted to the Dropbox in eCollege. Assignments submitted to the Dropbox will be automatically submitted to the Turnitin.com repository. The Literature Review is due by 11:00 pm EST on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 via the drop box.
5. Presentation of Literature Review (2.5%25 Points)
Each student will share with the class the information learned from his/her review of the literature. The oral/Power Point presentation will be approximately 10-15 minutes in length. The required outline for the presentation is posted in Doc Sharing.
Presenters will provide the instructor(s) a copy of the PowerPoint presentation and a separate list of the references that were used to prepare the literature review. These materials should be available the day ofyour scheduled presentation.
Students will present in class on Sunday, August 6th, 2017. Each student will tell the rest of the class what he or she learned from reading the books. The talk or Power Point presentation will last about 10 to 15 minutes. The presentation’s required outline is posted in Doc Sharing.

Instructions:
1.Access a minimum of ten (10) CURRENT peer reviewed articles in the Argosy library.
2.Based on the articles, develop an introduction on the background of the topic.
3.Analyze all articles and describe the key themes that emerge across the selectedarticles.
4.Synthesize the material and summarize the patterns of similarities and differences regarding how each of the authors has presented each theme.
5.Based on your analysis of the literature, conclude by evaluating the impact of your chosen topic to clinical mental health counseling practices, and explain how you plan to continue developing in this area.
Your final product will be an 8-10 page Word document written in APA format, utilizing at least ten scholarly sources. Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
