Length and Format An in class presentation and presentation notes and slides
Assessment Details In groups, students will:
Identify an organization that has, or will be, forced to change by
one of the drivers we discuss in lessons
• you can do this by reading news reports and searching for
historical information
• use Google Scholar and journal articles to search for materials on
major issues and incidents affecting businesses, and look for the
details of companies that are involved
Conduct an initial review to identify scholarly works that
specifically evaluate the chosen driver(s) for change
• when you identify a company, think immediately about the drivers
for change, the things that force the company to change
• when you have identified the drivers, go back to Google Scholar
and journal databases to find what the academic literature says
about those drivers and how to deal with them
Discuss the chosen focus and the identified scholarly works when
requested during lessons
• we will have regular discussions in classes about this assessment
item
• you will be asked to talk about the company and the scholarly
works (journal articles) that you have found
Give regular verbal progress reports during lessons
• you are expected to give progress reports in class each week
Develop and present a change management plan designed to help
the chosen organization effectively respond to the chosen driver(s)
for change.
• use theories and concepts you have learned in class
• use theories and concepts you have found using Google Scholar
and journal databases
• prepare a presentation that links the theories to the company’s
practical situation
• propose an approach for the company to respond to and deal with
