Obituary

Sample 1:
Linnet Brown, aged 27, died on 20th August 2020 in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, after a long-term illness.
Funeral services will be held from 9 a.m. Friday 25th August 2020 at Boston University Mars Chapel. Reverend John Litt of Boston University Mars Chapel will officiate the burial ceremony. Burial will follow later at Evergreen Cemetery in Boston, and the arrangements will be made by Wing Fook Funeral Home.
Linnet Brown was born on July 30, 1993, in Austin, Texas. She was born to the late Michael Brown and Mary Brown. She was a fiancée to pastor James Smith, an assistant pastor in Boston University Mars Chapel. She was an excellent student, having attended Lively Middle School and Lasa High School, where she graduated with exceptional grades. She qualified to join California State University to study Electrical engineering. She had worked for many prominent companies as a senior electrical engineer. Still, at the time of her death, she worked at General Electric Company, where she had worked for three years. She was recently promoted to assistant head of the electrical engineers’ department at her workplace, where she had only worked in that position for only three months. She was dedicated in her career and was awarded as the best employee in her recent workplace and two other companies she had worked in previously.
At a very young age, she had professed her spiritual belief and was a member of Restore Austin Church in her childhood. She continued showing her constant interest in her belief and everywhere she would go. She had enrolled in theology classes. At the time of her death, she was still a student in Boston University School of Theology for her diploma program and a member of Boston University Mars Chapel, where she served faithfully as a youth pastor. She was loved by many who got to interact with her for her pleasant personality and generous spirit. Her life as a Christian was as beautiful as white roses, which she loved very much, and her influence on many young people and older ones will forever be in the lives of all who got to know her.
She quietly departed this life on Sunday 20th, at Massachusetts General Hospital after suffering from blood cancer. She got diagnosed with the deadly disease since she was a teenager.
Linnet Brown is preceded in death by Michael Brown (her dad) and William Brown (her stepbrother).
Linnet Brown is survived by her four siblings, two sisters and two brothers, her mother, and her fiancé.
Pallbearers will be the group of church leaders and her prayer group from where she ministered.
The family of Michael Brown wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Sally Lincoln, nurses at Massachusetts General Hospital and the hospital at large, her prayer group, church leaders at Boston University Mars Chapel, and her childhood church, Restore Austin Church, for their continued support throughout her illness and also at her time of death.

Sample 2:
Oreo didn’t get up for his usual morning walk on January 7, 2021. His dad went over to prod him awake but found he had crossed the rainbow bridge in his sleep from the night before. He was never one to miss a party so he had made sure he was around for the New Year’s Eve party and he had lovingly made sure the family was settled into the new year before saying goodbye.
We never really knew his birthday but that he was born in October so we made his birthday the 10th of October so he can share his birthday with his owner, Chloe, who was born on October 10. He was 18 months old when we got him. He had been named James Bond from the shelter when we got him because he was black and had a white strip across his neck that looked like a bow tie, so he looked like he was wearing a tuxedo and looked quite debonaire. Chloe decided he looked more like an Oreo cookie and Oreo was also the name of a dog character from one of her favorite TV shows, so he was named Oreo instead.
Oreo had boundless energy and was always ready to play. He loved doing the zoomies, where he would suddenly jump up and start zipping across the house at speed in all directions for about 2 minutes and suddenly stop. He loved playing fetch but would never give back anything he fetched. He would hold on tight and growl whenever you try to take whatever he had fetched so you can throw it again. And boy did he have a growl? Oreo was a Maltipoo and weighed under 15 pounds but had a bark a German Shepherd would be proud of. Oreo fancied himself a singer as he would howl with a passing ambulance every time. He never missed a chance to woof along with the song, “Who Let the Dogs Out?”
This past winter was especially tough on Oreo because of the pile of snow on the ground for weeks. He was profoundly flabbergasted on where to do his business because there was no patch of grass to be seen anywhere. He didn’t do his business for 3 days till he couldn’t hold it anymore. We even bought him a go pad with fake grass, but he ignored it because Oreo is very traditional and nothing, but real grass will do.
Oreo was not very friendly with other dogs and he was given up by his first owner because he didn’t get along with other dogs in her house. He actually barked at pictures of a dog on a van the day we got him. He was ready to fight at any given moment. It was actually a miracle Oreo made it to old age because of his habit of trying to take on much bigger dogs and dad constantly threatening to stab him in his right eye every time he was naughty, which was always. He did indeed live a charmed life.
He was a very smart and loving dog, and he will forever be missed. Mommy will miss dressing him up for every occasion and having him sit on her lap all the time. Chloe will miss playing with him and running with him all over the house. For some weird reason, daddy was his favorite and the one he always tried to please the most and would not eat when daddy was not happy with him. We will all miss how he always wanted to be part of every conversation. We will think of him every time an ambulance goes by or a dog barks outside. Rest in peace, Oreo. You were one of a kind.
