You are required to write a business report individually on the given topic following the instructions given below. You need to read the scenario and the task carefully prior to writing the report.

Scenario:

Businesses, whether small enterprises or large corporations, are struggling to survive worldwide due to ongoing pandemic. They need to frequently adjust, re-adjust, and re-evaluate their business strategies in order to survive. S.W.O.T Analysis that stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, is a tool that existing businesses can use to evaluate rapidly changing business environment and respond proactively. Successful businesses conduct SWOT analysis on a regular basis to survive as well as excel in the market. The tool allows businesses to further build their potential strengths, eliminate weaknesses, grab new opportunities in the market and be aware of possible threats. The organizations that regularly evaluate their existing businesses based on these four points have better chances to grow as compared to those that do not follow this practice. This practice is particularly mandatory considering the current economic crisis worldwide due to COVID-19.
Task:
You, as a potential future entrepreneur, has been asked to conduct a SWOT analysis of an existing business and write a 2000 word report on “Name of the Business you chose: SWOT Analysis”. Preferably, you should choose a Small and Medium Enterprise to conduct SWOT analysis. The purpose of this report is to assist the business you choose by helping it to assess its current position in the market as well as to make you aware of the factors that are required to establish and run a business. The Director of SME Oman, Mr. Abdullah Al-Hosni, has asked for this report. The report has to be submitted by 6pm on 12th of April 2021 via Turnitin.
A business report writing structure should be used to present this report and recommendations will be expected to be produced for each category you select to conduct the SWOT analysis. Address the following points in your report:
1: Select a business of your choice and provide its brief background information in the introduction section of your report.
2: Choose any 15 out of the total given categories below and discuss each separately in a short paragraph. Your analysis and discussion should be based on the four elements of SWOT.
3. Organize your report based on the structure taught in the class.
4: Give recommendations (at least 10) to the business you evaluate for it to sustain and grow in future.
Consider the following prompts to structure your thoughts. You may want to add more points to the following list ONLY in consultation with your class lecturer.
2: Specific Instructions: As a future entrepreneur (you):
1. Collect data by browsing websites.
2. Do not have to prepare a questionnaire to collect data.
3. Must select at least 15 points out of 18 presented above in your analysis.
4. Present the analysis following the structure of a business report you have been taught in class.
5. Use categories/sub-categories as headings and present the analysis in the form of paragraphs.
6. You MUST have your own contribution/analysis to secure good marks.
7. Give at least 10 recommendations.
8. Give references, in case you obtain some data from websites, newspapers, etc., using Harvard Style of Referencing.
9. You MUST NOT use the data taken from another student at Majan.
10. You MUST summarise or paraphrase the text you obtain from different sources.
