Paper 1 (Cultural Site paper or oral history interview)

Paper 1 (Cultural Site paper or oral history interview)
The Virtual tour of the Louvre Museum in Paris.

My paper is focused on the Virtual tour of the Louvre Museum in Paris. I’ve attached the links on the two artist and specific art works of the two artist in the word document. Also, these two female artist studied under the same male artist in a time when women weren’t taken serious.
i believe the word document describe exactly what is needed in the essay, please let me know if you have any question(s).
You have two choices for this first assignment, either a paper on a virtual or real museum that you visit this week, or an oral interview of a student or staff member at Valencia College who is an immigrant from outside the United States or from Puerto Rico. Each choice is described below:
Peace bringing back Abundance | Small Gallery – Louvre Museum by Elisabeth-Louise Vigée Le Brun (Paris, 1755 – Paris, 1842)

Marie-Guillemine Benoist, Portrait of Madeleine (article) | Khan Academy by Marie-Guillemine Benoist
• Original Title: Portrait présume de Madeleine
• Date: 1800
• Style: Neoclassicism
• Genre: portrait
• Media: oil, canvas
• Location: Louvre, Paris, France
• Dimensions: 81 x 65 cm

Cultural site paper
Write a paper of a minimum of 200 words describing your visit to one of the real or virtual museums from the list below that you visit this week or that you have visited within the last 30 days.
• Name the site, describe its purpose, and tell me what you saw and heard.
• Describe one aspect of the site that you found most surprising, or that interested you the most.
• Find two pieces and tell me about them. Tell me the titles of the two pieces, the names of the artists, what you see in each piece, what the pieces were made of, the approximate dimensions of each piece, and what you think the artists were trying to communicate to you as the viewer.
• If you visit a historical museum, find one exhibit and tell me the title of the exhibit, and how the exhibit and its artifacts and text helped you to understand the story that the exhibit was trying to tell you. If you decide to visit a physical site, take a digital picture or scan the entry ticket or the program, or take a picture of yourself at the site. Do not submit this picture with your paper. Later, if your professor has doubts about your visit, he may ask to see this picture before grading your work. I will accept papers only on the sites listed below.

This paper and all your papers must be submitted double-spaced, and must be submitted in Microsoft Word, in rich text format or as a pdf file. You must put your name on the top. You must check your grammar and spelling, or ask for someone in one of Valencia College’s Online Writing Centers help you do so, since grammar and spelling errors will be counted against your grade. All your papers this semester require a minimum of 200 words. You are free to write more than that if you wish, but writing more than 200 words per paper is not necessary.

Here is the list of real and virtual cultural sites and events I will accept for this project:
Virtual sites
Take one or two of the virtual tours from one or two of these web pages, and write your review of the site or sites just as if you were visiting a real, physical museum.
How clear are the images that the site gives you?
Find two pieces that you name and that you find intriguing, and describe those works, just as if you were seeing them in a real museum.
Tell me the titles of the two pieces, the names of the artists, what you see in each piece, what the pieces were made of, the approximate dimensions of each piece, and what you think the artists were trying to communicate to you as the viewer.
Why did these two pieces get your attention?
Remember that in many cases the copyright to these images is owned by the museum or by someone who has lent a piece to the museum, and often for legal reasons, the web site cannot reproduce a piece on internet. So, a full virtual tour of every piece within a museum may not be possible.
