decisions on issues that affect their organization internally and impact the broader
community. When faced with these difficult decisions, having good judgment is
paramount, increasing the need for leaders to consider the agency’s vision, mission,
goals, and stakeholders to find the optimal solution.
The Final Course Project will be completed in four (4) parts:

Instructions:
• For this assignment, Part 2 of the Course Project, review the background
information on the agency’s head or individual in charge of the correctional facility
or agency (i.e., commissioner, director, sheriff, warden, etc.) and submit a
summary of the following:
o How long has the individual been employed with the agency or affiliated
with the field of corrections?
o What is the educational background of the agency head/leader?
o Path to Leadership – Did they rise to this leadership position through the
rank-and-file path, or were they appointed to the post by another
government official?
▪ Is this individual responsible for any positive development for
