Evidence-based practice project solution

Write a paper of 500-750 words for your proposed evidence-based practice project solution. Address the following criteria:
Proposed Solution: (a) Describe the proposed solution (or intervention) for the problem and the way(s) in which it is consistent with current evidence. Heavily reference and provide substantial evidence for your solution or intervention. (b) Consider if the intervention may be unrealistic in your setting, if it may be too costly, or if there is a lack of appropriate training available to deliver the intervention. If the intervention is unrealistic, you may need to go back and make changes to your problem statement before continuing.
Organization Culture: Explain the way(s) in which the proposed solution is consistent with the organization or community culture and resources.
Expected Outcomes: Explain the expected outcomes of the project. The outcomes should flow from the problem statement.
Method to Achieve Outcomes: Develop an outline of how the outcomes will be achieved. List any specific barriers that will need to be assessed and eliminated. Make sure to mention any assumptions or limitations that may need to be addressed.
Outcome Impact: Describe the impact the outcomes will have on one or all of the following indicators: quality care improvement, patient-centered quality care, efficiency of processes, environmental changes, or professional expertise.
You are required to cite three to five sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years and appropriate for the assignment criteria and nursing content.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Evidenced-Based Practice

Evidenced-Based Practice
Proposed Solution
The proposed solution is the application of a Peanut Ball (PB) to shorten the second stage labor among nulliparous women. Evidence from various research studies indicates that PB is an essential tool among nulliparous women since it shortens the second stage of labor by 23 minutes (Carrera, 2019). The tool also helps nulliparous women to reduce the likelihood of malposition, cesarean section, or complications. PB also helps nulliparous women who are at risk of complications during their first birth. The studies did not focus on multiparous women since the tool could not estimate its effectiveness due to other moderating factors (Carrera, 2019). It is thus evident that PB is an essential tool that is embraced by various healthcare facilities to reduce second stage labor, reduce complications, malposition, and reduce the likelihood of cesarean section.
Organizational Culture
The projected solution is in line with the organizational culture of various healthcare facilities. It is already adopted in major maternity units since they have approved it for use. Although departments have indicated the need for further study, it is essential to understand that the solution does not interfere with the organizational culture of healthcare centers (Grenvik et al., 2019). However, community culture is a challenge to some of the women who believe they should not use such tools during delivery. Some conservative communities may hesitate the use the tool. It is thus necessary to carry out awareness to promote the widespread adoption of the tool (Hickey & Savage, 2019). For example, some communities do not believe they can have their children through cesarean sections thus making it important to break such cultural barriers.

Expected Outcomes
The expected outcome of the proposed idea is the reduction of second stage labor among nulliparous women. Nulliparous women are at risk of health complications and thus the tool will help them to experience shortened labor (Hickey & Savage, 2019). It will also help them to increase the likelihoods of vaginal birth, reduce the possibility of malposition, and other delivery-related complications. Another expected outcome is that after the presentation of the information and evidence-based research, people will increase the adoption of the tool (Hickey & Savage, 2019). It is also expected that healthcare facilities will adopt the tool to help nulliparous mothers to overcome various challenges (Outland & Alvarado, 2020). In the future, it is expected that the tool will have an evident outcome in reducing the number of nulliparous women who die out of complications and the children who die at birth.
Method to Achieve Outcomes
The method of achieving the outcomes involves creating awareness about the tool. Healthcare workers also need to learn the evidence-based practice that reinforces the importance of the tool (Outland & Alvarado, 2020). The barriers that should be overcome to achieve better outcomes is a lack of information and evidence-based data about the effectiveness of the tool. It is also important to create awareness to reduce cultural barriers (Roth et al., 2016). One of the limitations or assumptions is that healthcare facilities can afford to adopt the tool within a short time.
Outcome Impact
The result will have an effect on quality care improvement as well as patient-centered quality care. It will help improve the quality of care offered to nulliparous women during labor (Roth et al., 2016). On the other hand, it will help provide patient-centered care to all nulliparous women. The care will involve reducing the risk of complications and fostering quality care for all pregnant women.
