A patient must be completely open with the doctor about their condition, all symptoms they show, and history to get the best and most effective treatment for their condition. Any over-the-counter prescriptions a patient could be taking should also be mentioned to the doctor or psychiatrist for better and more accurate diagnosis and medication.
